Platea Tavern is situated in the heart of Pissouri at the center of Pissouri’s beautiful square half way between Paphos and Limassol. The tavern specialises in traditional Cypriot food and drink and its Kelftico is still to this day cooked in the traditional wood fired oven giving the lamb its unique flavour. A rarity these days. The Tavern is open 7 days a week from around 9am in the morning through to late evening. On Fridays during the summer months the Tavern hosts its famous Cyprus Night with Bazouki, Cypriot and Greek dancers plus other great Cypriot entertainment. Booking for any night is important as the Tavern can hold over 150 people which sometimes means it is booked out for local Christenings and Weddings.
